I just moved to Chicago and I dont know any of the community colleges around here, but I'm looking for a place to take pre-requisites for cheap, at a community college preferably. Any ideas on where I could take these classes?

City College of Chicago has seven colleges throughout the city. $72 per credit hour for chicago residents. I thought there can't be anything cheaper. visit www.ccc.edu

In IL, community colleges serve designated "districts" just like public schools do. So the least expensive place for you to take your prerequisites will be the community college in your "district". You (or your landlord) pay property taxes to support your community college, which makes your tuition significantly lower than students who live in other districts. Check with your local city offices to see which community college you support.

I went to Truman College for most of my prereqs and got my ADN there. It's cheaper than other local options and their Nursing program is the best of the Chicago City Colleges. It's hard to get in and about 50% of our class failed out by graduation, but if you can make it and and out you're solid. They produce good nurses and a 2yr program is a great option to start making money fast even if you want to finish your BSN somewhere else later.
