I too have been a hospital floor nurse for 12 years quit for 2 and stayed home. I'm going to be returning to work and lately have felt compelled spiritually and drawn to the idea of hospice nursing. I just applied for a job, waiting to here. I went and bought a book and have been reading on these 2 hospice nurses and their stories of taking care of patients and it's been such an eye opener and so educating and empowering. For the first time in nursing I can honestly say I am excited about my future. I'm not sure if I will for sure go into hospice, but it's definately on my heart and feel right for this time in my life. With lots of prayer, support and maybe encouragement from other nurses I will discover who I really am in nursing. Thank so much. Any replies welcome
