A few questions about hospice nursing?

Specialties Hospice

Published

I am a nursing student and we have to find a nursing profession that is different from which we did community clinical to learn about, I choose hospice nursing. If any hospice nurse wouldn't mind answering a few questions such as... how did you become interested in hospice nursing? what is the most difficult thing about your job? what is the most enjoyable? what is your workplace like? what nursing education do you have, example- bachelors, masters, doctorate, specialty degree

I would truly appreciate any answers you may have, I appreciate your time!

Thank You!

Just a suggestion why not call some hospice agencies in your area and ask to interview one of their nurses. Its nice to ask online however this is an internationally read anonymous website. You have no way to verify if a respondent is a nurse or a hospice nurse.

Did your instructor intend for you to post your query online and hope for an accurate response?

Or was the assignment intention that you are to interview a hospice nurse on the phone or better yet in person?

There is much to be gained by developing personal interview skills as a nursing student. I'm sure if you called a local hospice agency they can assist you to facilitate an interview with a bona fide actively working hospice nurse.

Good luck.
