Hi, im so happy to have this place to explore the nursing HH field! Ive interviewed with a wellestabished not for profit HH company in the Kc area and it went very well I believe. They are allowing me to shadow another RN Tueaday to see if its a good fit for me. I have close to 4 years experience in HH as an Lpn, I am now an Rn X 1 year. So here's my question. This opportunity pays per visit, she said base pay per visit is 25 to 30 depending I assume on experience etc. Then SOC visits would be 1.33 units X the base pay, and other visits requiring more time are different unit amounts. I just dont have anything to compare it to. Im wondering if others in my area will give me salary comparisons also. Thanks so much.

I do not know about your area, but in my area $25 or $30 per visit are at the low end for LVN PPV.

SOC is 1.33? Ours are 2.0, double our revisit rate. Your $25-30 is less than half of our rates for both starting and experienced staff.

Libby, are you in the Kc area? The company is VNA and I had hoped to get with a reputable agency but wow, I dont want to work for low ball wages! I was an LPN for 8 years, now im an Rn working in Ltc/rehab. The experience would be a good thing. Its difficult to identify which HH compnies are the best. Its frustrating. Thanks for your post though.

I'm not but I don't know why they would formulate their units any differently. I mean I don't know what region has to do with that.
