which version?

Students HESI

Published

Hello!

I'm on my last semester and soon I will be taking exit hesi exam for the first time this semester. I know that there are 6 versions of the exam, but how do I know which version I will be taking? Let's say if I'm taking hesi for the first time this semester, does this mean I will get version 1 and if I'm taking it for the second time then I will get version 2? Or do they randomly pick which version to give you? I always wondered about that. Can someone explain to me how this works?

Guess my only question would be - what difference does it really matter? are you going to prepare any differently by knowing?

That being said --- the school has control over which version they request... at the end of last spring semester our program took a "practice" exit HESI to indicate where we were and what areas we may need to concentrate on - it was version 4. Last week we took the first official scored exam and it was version 1. Chances are you will get version 1 for your first time.

Best of luck.

No clue how they decide on it. I passed the exit HESI the first time and it was version 4. Scored almost 1000 and my school required 900 to pass. I didn't even really study much for it because of no time (I did an accelerated program). I did go over the small HESI review book that had the HESI hints in it though.
