very nervous about GRAMMAR section

I am an LVN hoping to bridge to RN and have been out of school many years. I'm pretty confident on the AP/Vocab/Math/comprehension but I'm terrified of the grammar section. For some reason I'm having a hard time with participles, predicate nominative and that kind of thing. I have the Elsevier study book edition 3 and I've read the grammar section several times. I'm online constantly doing quizzes and nothing is clicking. Does anyone have any advice. This is making me feel stupid and I am not stupid lol. TIA

Grammarly is an online service that allows for checking grammar usage that was recommended by my MSN program. They do have a free online handbook for grammar; perhaps reading the information from another source would help- sometimes just using different ways of explaining can help the information click easier. I'm sure there are other free resources out there; perhaps you just need to find the right one for you.

I'd like to support Rose_Queen's recommendation: use your Elsevier study guide, but also consult a few other grammar sources. Other authors will present the material in different ways, and another book or site might click for you.

No Fear Grammar is one book you might try, but your library will likely have a selection. Working through a few new sources could give you the confidence you need. The HESI grammar section isn't dreadful, but you'll do best when you feel prepared.
