My thoughts on the HESI a2

Just took my entrance exam today! This site helped me achieve my goal of passing the HESI a2 so I thought I would give back with my experience. This exam is very easy as long as you prepare yourself and not let yourself get overwhelmed!

For the school I'm applying to I had to take the grammar, math, reading and a&p sections. My overall score was a 91.5% and I could not be more proud of myself!!!

Study tips I would suggest would definitely be the evolve study guide 3rd edition and a supplement book for a&p. This was the only section I found the study guide to be too vague!!

the best advise I received was to breath, and relax the day before the test. Go in confident and you can't fail!

Do you mind telling me what types of math questions were asked because my school just requires the reading section and math

From what I remember there were a lot of fractions and ratios. There was no algebra but it was 55 questions and I had about 10 that were not multiple choice.

Did you use the Mcgraw-Hills evolve Hesi a2 book? Thats what im using to study now and i bought a A&P for dumbies book as well. I have a question about the A&P portion. Would you say it was more basic anatomy or more physiology questions??

I used the McGraw hill for everything but anatomy. I used something similar for that section. And as far as the types of questions I would definitely say there was more physiology than basic anatomy! Most of them were easy though if you know the basics of each body system, you should be able to guess even if you're not sure.

I don't think I had but one on conversions and none on Roman numerals.
