Hesi A2

Nursing Students HESI

I will be taking my Hesi A2 entrance exam in less than a month and I'm a little nervous about the AP section. I will have two chances to take this test (one in February and one in September) before I apply for the program in October. To be competitive to get into the program I need to score at least 95% overall. The five sections I have to take are Reading, Grammar, Vocabulary, Math and AP. Any advice on this test would really be appreciated!

i downloaded the hesi a2 study guide on amazon for my kindle app on my macbook and it is very helpful. it was only 9.99. i take the test may 16 so we shall see how helpful it really is:)

Kb, let us know how it goes! Which sections do you have to take?

Hi!

I"m taking the HESI in a couple weeks and it will cover English, Math and A&P. I'm not worried about the math, reading or grammar.

I am a little worried about the vocab and A&P.

I have taken A&P1 and got a 3.9 and start A&P2 tomorrow.

Does anyone have any tips on specific A&P stuff to study, as there is so much information to cover! Also, how specific does the HESI ask about A&P ?

Would you say there are equal amounts of general and medical vocab on the HESI? How did you study for the general vocab part?

Thanks!

Chelsea

Hey guys,

I am about to take the HESI on July 7 and am extremely nervous about the math and A&P sections. Is the A&P section very detailed? Should I do extensive memorizing in order t get a really good grade on that section? For the math, are there lots of conversion problems? Was it very hard?

Any help will be appreciated!

I will take the HESI soon and felt the study guide was pretty basic. I will not have to do any of the science sections for the school I am attending, nevertheless I am still studying the material. Did anyone feel the test was everyday knowledge?

Specializes in None, for now..

Thank-you for the conversions savoir-faire tip! I appreciate it.

I am scheduled to take the HESI next month so I will definitely look over the conversions. I have made copies of the practice test in the evolve book so I can review that way.

I just took the HESI today and yes, it's pretty basic knowledge, even the A&P.

Good luck on taking the test!

So the a&p wasnt all that hard i got the test on the 5th of august and im stressing

No, the A&P wasn't too hard, just make sure that you know the basics for each body system and if you've taken A&P as a class before, it would really do you good if you studied your old notes
