I moved to Maui about two months ago and would like to do some per diem nursing. I have my active RN license from Alabama. I have accessed to the state government page numerous times to use the on line the form for endorsement and it keeps coming up blank. When I call the contact numbers, they send me to the home page without an option to speak to a real person. After instructing me where to go on the home page, I am disconnected. Anybody know how I can get the endorsement form and get the process started. Any help here is appreciated.

Maybe try going to the HR department of a hospital - maybe they have updated info.

I have absolutely no idea why your are having so much trouble talking to a real a person. Many of us just renewed our RNs and I had no trouble getting a hold of someone to talk to due to questions I had about my renewal.

1(808)586-3000 ... is the number to call
Great minds think alike, Leeanna. I did that this morning and they had no clue. Tyvin. Just did the number and this time a message stated the call volume was high. They directed me to the government web site nd then disconnected the cll. I will try the number again a few more times this week. Thats so much to you both.

I just called and got a hold of someone within 2 minutes. They told me for you to download and fill out the application and send it in to them. The site is very friendly; this is the application by endorsement.
Also if you have trouble with that you can go to the site's areas of choice which is where I got that link to the applications.

I can't answer for the technical difficulties you're having. But I had no problem going to the State Board in Honolulu, with my current licensure, 2 days later, voila! Easy reciprocal licensing.
Good luck.

There are some valuable multistate nursing licensure resources on the Case Management Society of America's website here: http://www.cmsa.org/PolicyMaker/IssuesAdvocacy/MultiStateLicensure/MultistateLicensureResources/tabid/662/Default.aspx
