Which is better..Womack or Eisenhower?

I've never worked at either, but I have been to both. I would assume Womack would be better career wise just because there are many more people there than at Eisenhower.

Comparing Fayetteville to Augusta really depends on the type of lifestyle you like and what you are into. Both are expanding, my guess would be Fayetteville growing by leaps and bounds over Augusta.

Augusta seems like a less military town than Fayetteville, although someone else may disagree.

Much more housing choices in the Fayetteville area. The schools are better in the suburbs (Hope Mills, Pinehurst, Sanford) than the city itself.

In Augusta the schools and homes in Martinez are certainly safer. When I lived there I chose Martinez and I'm happy I did. The closest bigger cities to Augusta are Columbia SC (1 hr) and Atlanta (2hr).

Fayetteville has Raleigh (

If you travel by air a lot keep that in mind. To get the best prices you'll most likely have to drive to ATL from Augusta, since their airport is pretty small.

Raleigh has a busy airport, so that's not such a bad trip from Fayetteville.

Quality of life....I'm torn on that one. I was a young single soldier when stationed at both places. We all whined about being bored (myself even more so being that I was raised in the biggest city in this country) so that skewed my view a bit.

If you are a married with kids type, you may want something different than a singleton.

I personally would choose Fayetteville, even though Augusta is a bit more aesthetically (sp?) pleasing. I will say if Atlanta was 1 hour away and not 2, I would have moved to Augusta just because that would have been reason to have more choices on the weekends.

I live about an hour away from Augusta.. It has been few years since I have been to Fayetteville....

Augusta has some of the best hospitals in the country (MCG level 1 trauma center, Doctors Hospital burn center)... Some of the better (best) colleges... If you like golf its the home of the Masters :-)

Hmmm maybe but population density wise Fayetteville has a ways to go. Do to growth the roadways in Augusta are being revamped Augusta is no in the process of completing a spaghetti junction...

I would agree... Martinez is usually considered the more affluent part of Augusta.
