by deftonez188 Aug 20, '10Hello,
My question is simply in the Navy as a nurse, do we get an adequate enough amount of time off from work? Can I have a life outside of work or is work my life? I understand there is some sacrifice being military (AFx 8 years enlisted).

- Aug 21, '10 by jeckrnI was Navy HM and worked with Navy nurses and yes they do get time off to have a life just like the rest of the services. The AFx8 applies to everyone who joins any service. When you join one of the military services you are committing yourself for 8 years to your country. This time can be spent on active duty, drilling reserve (1 weekend a month 2 weeks a year), or in the IRR; which is a non drilling status.
