JBLM Madigan Hospital ER - joint or just Army?

I am an Air Force RN getting ready to start the Critical Care (ER) Fellowship at SAMMC and I must PCS after this fellowship is complete. I am married to an Army RN (66H) and we are hoping to be stationed together (we would really love to be stationed at Joint Base Lewis McChord). My question is: Are Air Force RNs working in Madigan's Emergency Room or is it just Army and civilians? If they aren't, does anyone know if they have plans anytime soon of making the ER joint?Thank you so much for your help!

I believe it is Army & civilian but I can ask. I'm stationed on the McChord field side, trying to get into nursing school, so I volunteered at Madigan as a Red Cross volunteer & interacted with several clinics to get experience required for applying to my school. I prob won't be able to tell you anything until Monday bc my daughter is out sick with pink eye, but hopefully there are some other peeps on here that can help before then :)

Thank you so much! I would really appreciate that! Good luck on nursing school! :)

I have a friend who worked ED there and he said the nurses are all Army but AF techs comes through once in a while usually for rotations. 50/50 Army and civ

It might be possible because you are married to a someone in the Army. You need to call your assignment officer and speak with them to find out.

They have nursing slots on the McChord field side but it's all clinical type work.

My info about joint military spouse came from my chief who was an assignment officer a few years ago. We were talking about joint services assignments and JBLM as a possible site.
