This thread is for all those out there who were put on the OML list from the Nov 5th Army Nurse Corp selection board. I figured this would be a great place to keep each other up to date, as our recruiter give us different information. From what I understand we will be told individually if and when we are pulled from the OML list. Also, my recruiter has told me that 10 people were selected from the less than 2 yrs experience category, and only one has no waivers pending. I hope everyone is having a wonderful Thanksgiving:)

Has anyone from the OML been picked up yet?

nothing from my side

I was 1 of the 10, with 2 years or less experience, that was selected at the boards this Nov. My recruiter told me that 2 of the 10 had been scrolled and the other 8 (including me) are still waiting to be scrolled. At first he said this could take 1-2 weeks and now he is saying 30-90 days. So my question is, when do the people on the OML get picked up? If someone doesn't get scrolled? Or someone drops out?

Yep. That take people from OML is for some reason one o the one selected are unable to commission or if they find that they need more nurses than expected.

Please excuse my ignorance but OML stand for? Is this a list for when your slotted for BOLC?

Order of Merit List -- it's actually for selection for active duty, in this case. Those on the OML will be selected if a spot opens up among those already selected for active duty, or if the Army decides it needs more nurses. It's like first-runner-up in a Miss America pageant, only I'm sure these folks are better looking. :D

Lol - thanks. Guess this is the whole 80/20 thing for BOLC slots. Will be finishing up my BSN in may so guess I will be seeing it then. Look forward to it, I'm active now so I guess my process will be a little different.

Hey guys. Just wanted to say I have been added to the OML list this year as well. I was told it was likely I would not know anything until early January.
