Airforce essay questions

by fstrong

Ok.....so I am applying for the Airforce Healthcare Corp and I have to answer the 9 essay questions. The problem that I am having is I do not have any significant awards, scholarships, or other recognition. I also have limited commnity service activities that I have been involved in. NO research, publication, or teaching experiences that I have accomplished. I clearly don't want to write "not applicable" for those 3 questions. Any suggestions???

have you ever made dean's list or honor roll or anything of that nature in school? and i'm betting that if your nursing school was anything like mine then you definitely did research. big amazing research projects that changed the world? probably not, but i'm sure you "researched topics relative to the nursing field to provide further support for evidence based practice" or something of that nature. add a little more detail and ta-da! one question answered.

i hope that helps or at least give you new things to try and think up.

For the teaching question, what about: "Educate patients on medications and side effects. Instruct CNA, LVN in procedures when asked by superior." Or similar teaching experience.

As far as being published: "I am interested in writing for publication and hope that I can develop this skill."

I didn't have much other than work experience and some church service. No worries! Just focus on the questions you can answer and make them Stand Out! It's like any other job interview, SELL YOUR SELF! Your recruiter will also give you hints on what is important for interviewing.
