AF April/May 2012 FQ Board

Hi there! Is anyone else out there being submitted to the April/May 2012 fully qualified boards?? I say April/May because at first my recruiter told me the board met at the end of April, but last I spoke with him he said first week of May. This is my last time applying as I was non-selected in August. Really hoping for good news but mostly planning for bad news. Just wondering if anyone else is in agony out there!!

So the week is finally upon us! Fingers crossed it actually happens!! Let us know if you hear from your recruiter, RNdiver82! He seems to keep you pretty updated! Good luck to everyone!!

While the board meets this week, I'm not expecting to hear results because of one major hurdle: Memorial Day. It's a major holiday, hence I don't expect to hear anything until next week at the very earliest. But I love your enthusiasm!!!

I meant if you heard anything about the board not meeting this week like they were supposed to! I figured your recruiter would let you know if he heard anything about that. I'm not expecting to hear about a decision until June, holiday weekend or not! In just ready to have Thursday over with so I know a decision has been made, period. Also last time they called to ask my questions on weds, and the board wasn't supposed to meet until thurs, so just anything like that I'll keep you updated. Good luck!!!

OH!!! Well, yeah, that's a given. Didn't hear anything today, but I was also moving, so I'm not too shocked. Good luck to you as well!!

Someone from the "armed forces" contacted my hospital today inquiring about the hospital info for an RN they are considering... )) Trying not to get too excited but that sounds pretty positive to me..... Anyone else hear of something like this happening?

Nope but I haven't worked since Sunday. Have a meeting tomorrow so I guess my boss will tell me then! Did you provide them with any info about the size of your hospital/ER or typical volume? Last boards they called me and asked me questions about that, then this year they emailed my recruiter shortly after packets were due and I had to give them the info all over again. But it definitely is a good sign that they are considering you! And it also proves my theory that they meet most of the week, rather than simply the 24th.

Haven't heard anything from my recruiter yet, but I know he hits his refresh button all the time to check application statuses (he's an admitted ADHD when it comes to the boards and their selection dates because his wife was one of his recruits). But the fact they contacted your hospital could be good! I don't ever see my management staff, not even in passing, so I wouldn't know if they were contacted or not. Hopefully we'll all hear something soon so the waiting game can finish this portion and gt on to the next!

I did supply them with info on the hospital about 3 weeks ago. They supposedly did not ask any specifics about the nurse just the hospital. My anxiety went up a few notches after hearing of this. I wish it was Friday!! Lol

Soooo.... Do they have their list??

Even if they have their list, we still may not know for another week or so. It is Memorial Day, a pretty big deal to the military, and all the offices are going to be closed. I doubt that the board will release anything, or make any final decisions before tomorrow. Sorry to be a downer, but that is just how it is. Just try to enjoy your weekend and hopefully we will hear something soon.

The week is finally over! I'm just happy knowing that a decision has been made, either way! Here's hoping those 3 spots belong to us! Everyone enjoy the holiday weekend!I'll be working the majority of it, but at least it's time and a half on Monday! I'll let you guys know when I hear anything, good, bad or alternate!

How do u know for sure there are only 3 spots left? (just curious) and did u hear from anybody that the decisions were made? My recruiter had ignored me all week. Won't answer or return a call, text, or email. Frustrating. And I understand how the military works, spent 5 yrs active duty. I am just very stressed and sorry if this comes across angry sounding. Just don't like to be told a deadline then they let it pass with no answers. Ok done venting. :) good luck everyone.
