Hourly Rate for an LPN in Florida

Specialties Geriatric

Hi everyone!

I'm a student going for my LPN and I was wondering if anyone can tell me the starting rate for a new grad LPN? I am a licensed massage therapist and a medical assistant with over 5 years experience.

Thanks...

I couldn't agree more. The last job I took was for 25 and that was a serious paycut! Could never do it for 10 or 18 or even 20. There is too much responsibility and stress. And Florida has some serious laws that do not protect the nurses at all.

Hmmm, wonder if it wouldn't be prudent to strike...or something similar. These salaries are aweful.

WOW!!! I am getting ready to start school to become an LPN and want to move to South Florida to be close to family. I have been rethinking about moving after seeing what Fl pays for LPN's. I live in Harrisburg and for an LPN average is $20 and up an hr and RN's up to $35 an hr. I don't know what to do. Take a pay cut to be close to family? Or just stay in PA and visit when ever i can ?

Harrisburg, PA Lpn make 20 and up and RN 35 and up.

You have to take the cost of living into account though. Look at house prices there and compare to your area for similar houses.

Remind me to never move to FL..wow.
