Piedmont Healthcare New Grad Residency 2013

U.S.A. Georgia

Published

Has anyone interviewed at Piedmont for the new grad program that starts in August 2013? I had an interview almost 2 weeks ago and am waiting to hear back whether I was accepted or not. I am feeling quite anxious - has anyone heard back as yet or have any idea when to expect notification? I was told the wait time would be "several weeks".

I am not that familiar with GA as I've been here for just about a year and a half. I live in Smyrna which is relatively close to Piedmont ~ 20-25 mins or so w/o traffic. It would be a good place to look into. Marietta is further away from Piedmont but it would also depends on where in Marietta you were looking. AN is strange - sometimes I get notification that there is a new post, sometimes I don't ha.

If you have any other questions or want to link up once you get here then just send me a message.

Check your email if you haven't already. I interviewed for a position in critical care around the same time you did, and got an email about a week ago letting me know I didn't get it.

Thank you cbailey4111. I have called, but have had no response. Perhaps that email will come in soon. Did you initiate email contact and then they responded or was the email initiated on their part?

tallchica54,

I believe they called about a week, possibly 10 days after the application period had closed, to set up an interview.

It was just a form rejection email they send out, I didn't initiate any contact.

Hello sremery,

I live in GA and didn't need to ask about it, so I am unsure about relocation reimbursement.

My understanding is that the new grad residency is to start in August, but I am not sure. I was interviewed for critical care position, maybe start date differs based on specialty. I have not heard back as yet so truly can't say for sure.

Are you a new grad? If hired, where would you be relocating from?

I'm interviewing for the med/surg one so I think that's why the start dates differ. I am a new grad and will be moving from DC (hopefully!).

Well I got a call back for an interview for the OR residency! She was already out of the office when I called her back so hopefully I get the date set up on Monday. I also am new to the area. Hopefully the interview goes well!

I got a call on Friday as well for an interview for the OR residency! I am a newer grad (May 2012) with just about 1 year experience. I will be relocating from MA if I get it!! My interview will be on the 18th (needed time to arrange flight/hotel). Good luck!

Congrats and safe travels! Hopefully it goes well for us both. What is your experience in this past year? I graduated in April but have some experience as an LPN which helped a lot in nursing school and hopefully in my job search.

I have been working in long term care..sub-acute/rehab unit. I currently work with trach/vented patients. Very much med/surg type experience. Hospitals are really hard to get into here in MA..any of New England in fact! I was surprised when Piedmont called me for an interview a week after applying!

Oh wow, yeah I am surprised how hard it is out there for a nursing job. I came from Milwaukee and it was hard there too. Hopefully there will be another slump soon because I heard the shortage goes in waves.

Oh and did you get your license endorsed? That process is ridiculous!

I just finished the application, just have to go get it notarized and then I will be sending it out tomorrow. I've heard it takes anywhere from a week to 2-3 months! I'm hoping it only takes a week! I have looked it over a million times making sure I have everything!
