Kennesaw State Fall 2011

U.S.A. Georgia

Published

I just applied to Kennesaw State's program for Fall 2011. I thought it would be fun to do a roll call to see who else is out there beginning the waiting game!

Sings&shoots,

I would be ecstatic to find out that I had miscounted! I hope your #s are right, and I could very easily have miscounted bc I counted on my phone and in the middle of a busy/distracting coffee shop! I've also spent hours and hours pouring over these threads and in every single one they have known by the 1st week on march for interviews... I just want to know bc of scholarship app deadlines....and for my own sanity... that's important too...

I cheated a little. I drew from my Microsoft Word experience. I did a reply all, copied and pasted all of the email addresses into a word document and had the text convert to a table since all the emails were separated by a comma and there were 725 rows. The only reason I could see that that method didn't work is if my email had a limit on the number of emails or something that I don't know about.

I'm hoping that they gave us those dates so they wouldn't be bombarded with phone calls, emails, etc. and we would be happy if we found out early. Or, it could be it's going to take a really long time to go through 725 applications. I don't think i would want that job at all.

Peachy.. I am with you I had a terrible time in the early 90's and that one school brings down my transfer GPA everytime. I am really considering retaking those 5 classes and never send them that transcript again. I too I have MS in Library Science. It would be nice if you could get extra points for that. Seeing how you did make a committment to earning a graduate degree.

I hear ya, sreed. Hopefully we can make up for the early parts of our academic career. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I guess all I can do now is wait. Hopefully Fran can give some advice if things don't work out this time. April can't come soon enough! At least spring break is soon. It will be nice to be away from school for a bit. :)

I hear ya are you going to attend the the meeting or whatever it was on Monday? Fran did say it would be benefical to go.

FYI - I emailed Fran today and ask her how many people would be accepted into the program. She said 90.

:oWell that's more than I thought they would accept. I hope not all 90 have 3.8 GPA's some of us with 3.2's have to get a shot.

That is good news! I applied to both the accelerated and traditional program. I hope there's a chance for an interview with one of them :) For some reason, I thought they accepted less than that.

I would like to go to the career fair. Monday is going to be a hectic day! I have an A&P test at 8 am, a lab practical at 10, and chemistry at 12:30. I will be beat by 1:30 but I think it will be beneficial to go. Anybody know if casual school clothes is appropriate?

Good luck with the accelerated program that will free up more spots for traditional. I will pray that everyone who applied to accelerated gets in.:yeah:

Good call. Hope that is the case.

I thought about going to the career fair until I saw that it was $300(!!!) to register.

fjrobinson44, I am in my 2nd semester of nursing school at KSU and it is $300 for the hospitals to register. It is free to students. In all honesty I would not recommend going until you have done 1 semester because the hospitals are really there looking for senior nursing students to hire and also students with tech experience to hire. I went before I got in to nursing school and I felt kind of out of place because when I went to each counter, the first thing they want to know is if you will be graduating that semester... Only nurse recruiters are there

Hope this helps

It is still kinda cool to go though and get free stuff :)
