I just applied to Kennesaw State's program for Fall 2011. I thought it would be fun to do a roll call to see who else is out there beginning the waiting game!
I really hope so! I just called and asked Sandi and she said the same thing "april 1st for interview letters, a few weeks after that we will hold interviews, and a few weeks after that we will have our decisions made..." I just know that some scholarships have due dates the first week of May and you have to be accepted to a program before you can apply so I'm not too happy it's gonna be so long before we know. I'm so nervous about my acceptance chances that I retook the TEAS, I did better and got a 93.3 but I had miscalculated my GPA bc I thought my biochem grade would count but they're taking my ochem grade instead.... I'm going to need anti-anxiety meds before this whole process is over!!!
I also applied for Kennesaw States nursing program to start in Fall 2011. My grades are good, however I did not do well on the TEAS test. I have never been a good standardized test taker.
Good luck to everyone applying
FingersXcrossedX-
A girl posted in 2009 that she got a 78 on the TEAS and had a 3.56 gpa with mostly A's in pre-reqs and she got an interview for the regular BSN program at KSU- I'm pretty sure she took the TEAS 4 which supposedly has an average of about 10 points higher than the TEAS V (so her 78, is like taking the TEAS V and getting an 68 as I understand it), so don't lose hope just yet. She was a KSU student though and said later that she thought she received a little preference because of that...
how miserable is ochem at KSU? I took it at UGA my sophomore year and thought it would be the death of me! They use it as a "weeding out" class here for all the pre-meds- after the first test, like 30% of the students drop the class, then after the second test you're only left with maaaayyyyyybe half of the students you started with! I'm worried that grade might screw me-its my only C+ ever.... I was really hoping they would take my biochem grade instead bc its an A, but Sandi said they usually only look at the 4 hour science classes that have a lab-at UGA, there's no biochem lab.... I've got one extra chemistry credit but its literally one of the lowest level chem classes you can take, but it did have a lab.... anybody think they may look at that instead? it would transfer to KSU as CHEM1151 with lab....

Yeah, I asked specifically, because that's what I thought too. She said April 1 for interview letters.
