Has anyone taken A&P 1 for summer in Gwinnett Technical College?

How was it?

What was it like? And

How did it go?

I will appreciate your honest comments or opinions.

Thanks.

I am taking A&P this summer also. At my local community college. I'm nervous and would like to hear from other students that took this class in the summer. I have already started reading my A&PBook.

I took AP1 in the summer of 2011 when quarters were changing to semesters so the mini semester was 5 weeks. Took a lot of hard work and dedication but I did make a B 88. So it is possible

I have never taken before but I am also taking it this summer at gtc.

Specializes in OR.

I did A&P II last summer, and it was rough! I literally ate, slept, and breathed A&P for 8 weeks. It's going to take a lot of dedication and a lot of study time. Make sure you take advantage of Open Lab! I'm not sure what the rate is for summertime, but in a regular semester, drop rate is about 50% for A&P I. The good news is the school provides everything you need, you just need to take advantage. Open Lab, lecture notes, and the tutorials, games, & flash cards they put up on ANGEL. Most of all, don't be afraid to talk to your instructor if you need help! That's what they're there for, and most are happy to do it. Make an appointment with your instructor if you're struggling. They're a wealth of information and study tips.

Good luck!

Thank you so much. I was told I had to get an Access Code for it as well, but a friend of mine who just concluded hers this spring and made an A (97.6%) told me not to get it coz the school will provide it since she did not have to buy one. So I think you are right that the school provides everything and its just left for the student to make good use of it.

She however, pleaded with me not to take it this summer coz she had a major in Biology (foreign university: India), but still had to struggle to make it. You needed to see the way she pleaded with me not to take it yet, lol (she said she doesn't want me to mess up my perfect GPa like she did last fall).

Thanks to all that replied to the post too.

I appreciate.

Peace be with you all and Good luck in all your endeavors.
