GPC students shed some light!

Hey all!

I'm FINALLY headed back to school this fall and starting on a few prereqs that I need along with retaking my sciences as they are too old :-/ I was just wondering how hard the TEAS V is? I will be 8 years since I've last been in school and I want to apply to nursing program ASAP but I see these test scores are a deciding factor. Do u think it's doable to get a decent score with just retaking a&p1? Bc I see there is no spring admission so I need to apply this go around. Any ideas why they nixed that? Are they accepting more in fall? Sorry for all the questions. Thanks to anyone that can shed some light :)

The TEASV science had very little A&P, and no micro that I can recall. It was mostly stuff you should have learned in high school, although if you're like me you probably don't remember it. I thought the grammar and spelling parts were hardest. Get a practice book and study it and you should be fine. Don't wait until you finish your pre-req sciences, they won't help.

THANKS Watashi!!!! GREAT info and SOOOO good to know :) I don't remember a lot but I will start studying ASAP! Any good study books that u especially liked?

The ATI study manual is a good one along with the McGraw Hill study guide. I thought there was some A&P 2 on my test that I can remember. Good luck you got this!!

The teas is based on knowledge you gain in grades 9 through 12. Technically you don't have to take anything to take it. Just get the ATI book and study that!
