It's 18 months in total? And you don't even start clinicals til 2nd term? Do you guys worry about being ill-prepared clinically when you step into your first job? That just seems like not very much time at all.

We start clinicals 3rd term actually. And no not at all! We have to do the same mandatory hours as every other program plus extra lab hours. With classes and lab and school 6 days a week it's much like an accelerated RN in other programs. Plus all our recent grads got full time job offers before they even passed the NCLEX so we must be doing something right

Do u mind me asking how much it will end up costing you to attend bauder? I haven't even gone to an information session due to the cost being so much and scaring me lol I can't afford to pay that kind of money back :-/

The total price is around $40K. But that includes your tuition, all books, fees, uniforms, etc. So it's not like you'll be hit with additional expenses you were unaware of. If you have classes that transfer in it takes a lot of $ off. And you're done in 17.5 months. That's why I chose it, the pre-reqs are included so it's not like you're taking these extra classes and then applying to a program and having to wait to start in the next cycle. I would definitely look into it if you are ready for the fast pace and willing to be flexible with your personal/work schedule!

For me as of right now I don't have any out of pocket cost. They gave me an award letter for the first three terms and with my transfer credits, I will only need financial aid for 33 credit hrs over those 3 terms. I have grants and federal subsidized and unsubsidized loans. So at the end of that I didn't have a balance owed to the school. I am not sure if this will change before school starts or if it will change later into the program. But from what I calculated the program is about 40K and I have 29 hrs transferred in and they just multiplied it by the $348 per credit hour and deducted it from the total cost, which was about 11K. So 40K minus 11K is 29K for the program over 7 terms. So once it was broken down like that, the cost don't seem that bad, at least to me it doesn't. I am just really thinking about the future and becoming a RN, being able to make decent money and in a faster amount of time. IF you qualify for the Pell Grant and the Georgia grants you should just go for it. Best of luck

@ bella How do you know your accepted? Did they tell you directly or are you just taking you're accepted because of your quad? They keep going forward with everything like i am but nobody has really told me anything

When I interviewed with the DON she told me, but I am still not going to believe it until I see it on paper with a signature on the bottom on school letterhead just to be realistic.

I'm starting to think she told everybody that as i talk to different people...including me. As i talk to people they say there have been cuts and everything else. Have you heard a possible time frame of us being told a definite answer

At this point all I can do is wait and hope for the best. They have sessions that start it seems like every few months. My neighbor is in the program that started July 2012 but they pushed her start date back to Sept 2012. So clearly this school makes changes all the time. All I know is that they keep calling me needing more stuff and at this point they have everything. So now its just in God's hands. My neighbor said they did the exact thing to her that they are doing to the people like us who have applied now. So we should just stay positive and check the mailbox. Good luck

Yeah all we can do is wait it out and see... Let's hope we all get it. I talked to someone again and I was told that now we should be getting letters at least before Feb 16, supposedly that's when orientation is. The joys of the waiting game, lol!

Well I got an email that says in the Subject "New Student Orientation", but it just had new times of operations LOL..
