Hello,

I am trying to gather some info. My husband and I are thinking of relocating to the Warner Robins area or possibly ATL suburbs. Whats the pay like for RN's? I am currently a labor and delivery RN with 10 + yrs. I don't nec need to work as a staff nurse in a hospital, but would if that's all I could find.... Can anyone provide any insight? We would also eventually be looking to purchase another home with a mortgage max of approx 1500.

Thanks in advance!

Average hourly rate for RN's in Ga is $30/hr. Some places higher, some lower depending on specialty, experience, degree etc..as far as housing goes, that is also highly dependent on where you live. Warner Robins is a military town, busy..as it ATL. There are many real estate sites that can give you guidance on the areas you are interested in. The one thing around nursing pay in Ga is it's lower than a lot of other places. You will want to have your GA RN license in place before applying because it's highly unlikely you will get an interview w/o it. The nursing job market is tough here - seasoned and non seasoned nurses alike struggle w/this...taking "forever" to get a response, interview etc.

Thanks for your reply! Also, thanks for the tip about getting my GA license before applying. I didn't want to start applying just yet, but I will make sure to have my license before I do. I have also been browsing real estate websites.... I'm just not quite sure about our housing budget because I don't know what my earning potential is.... Like, if I base it off of what I currently earn, we could afford this, but if I earn significantly less, then that price wouldn't be doable. We do plan to rent first though, so I guess we will have some time to figure that out....I'm just the type of person that likes to gather as much information I can before making such a decision. Also, most of this is very dependent on where exactly my husband ends up working. It would likely be RAFB, but if he ends up going somewhere else, then I will center my search around that area. Thanks for you insight! I really appreciate it í ½í¸Š
