I'm applying for the Georgia Perimeter College ADN program for Fall 2013 in January. I've completed core classes at another college but there is NO way that GPC will accept them, (the college is a technical college, and I'm not... Read More

To all of you applying to GPC's nursing program:

It is a very hard program but you will learn everything you need to pass the NCLEX-RN. You will more than likely become annoyed with all the last min stuff the teachers love to spring on you but what can you do. GPC's nursing program will prepare you well for the NCLEX this is a fact. They have like a 99% pass rate, this much I know is true. The vast majority of my class have been passing the NCLEX with it stopping at 75Q and thats with little to no studying. Mine stopped at 95Q's with maybe 2 days of reviewing (nothing major at all), that's it.

I wish you all the best of luck with getting accepted bc GPC has a great nursing program

Thank you so much for the encouragement! The waiting is so nerve wrecking and having pass students calm some of those nerves is such a blessing. Good luck to everyone else applying for Fall semester with me too. Technically we are all competing for these limited spots, but I personally feel as if I am only in competition with myself not you all and loving the comradary for any info so again GOOD LUCK AGAIN EVERYONE!!!

Thanks for all the info keepmovinglpn! I had actually considered trying to do the summer semester to graduate faster but I think if I get in, I may just try to get a job at a hospital over the summer! Thanks again!

Thank you SO much for the encouragement and positive feedback. I also have a friend that graduated from GPC and felt fully prepared when she graduated and is now a practicing RN in the ER. I have a few back ups but truthfully GPC is my number one pick based on quality and affordability. I will go for my bachelors online once I'm an RN. At this point I'm looking for the quickest and best choice and GPC fits the bill and happens to be 15 minutes from home. Can't beat that 😊 CONGRATS on passing the NCLEX. All your hard work has paid off. You must be so happy with yourself!

I've applied to KSU and GPC. Received a letter from GPC today stating my app met the minimum requirements and I would hear something by April 30th.

Also, Renee Creel emailed me and stated they focus on reading and math scores. HTH. She also asked that I try and get my 2 last pre reqs done before the beginning of nursing, if I'm accepted.
