you guys have no idea how glad i am to find this thread. i am actually planning to start a similar school in august. it is called world outreach medical in decatur. they are also affiliated with a jamaican school or so. my question though is will i be able to work in ohio when i am done and also will the courses transfer. i appreciate any answers i can get. i just want to feel more comfortable with my decision.

i would highly recommend that you check with your bon. get the information directly from the horses's mouth. i wouldn't want to start a program only to find out later that i will not be able to work in my state (or any other state for that matter) ...or even worse, have to go work in jamaica (ok, i'm really stretching this, but you get the point).

i just called ohio bon and she pretty much just said so long as you pass nclex, all you need is to get a lincense to work in oh.

did you ever finish this course?

Flower feel free to email me, I am doing clinicals right now for CNA at a nursing home and have talked to 2 people that work there that have finished the program and are waiting to take the NCLEX, I was tole that they are having a problem waiting for their test date, I will get more info today and let you know.

It is so unfortunate that I am just now discovering this thread.

In reference to gboogie post.

!st of all..if you call that a leap of faith, let me tell you you leaped right into a bottomless pit. 2nd...you believed everything they told you about all those people graduating and passing the board because that's what you wanted to hear. They told you what you wanted to hear.

Now for some facts:

I actually attended the program for a year. I was actually in the first "graduating class".

I actually sat for the board exam. I actually passed.

But Lo, and Behold, I was actually contacted by the GA board for an interrogation because I had not attended school in Jamaica(were the transcript was bought from, neither did I do all the clinicals that was lied about on the transcript. Neither did I make all the A's and B's that were on my transcript....and the list goes on of questions they asked me.

To make it worse...only about 7 of the class actually passed the board, but then some of them even got followed to their jobs and questioned about their education. Yes, the investigators actually went to their jobs.

Not only that..the worst thing is noone else has been allowed to sit for the board AT ALL. They all ( LPN and RN) are receiving letters that they cannot be approved for the board exam. There are people that I know who are actively filing lawsuits against "HER" because she won't give them their money back....

How's that for a leap of faith...you'd better have a very short bungee cord before you get in this one too deep.

No lies....whoever posted that must work for the school.:icon_roll Poor thing

what!!! that is crazy

so if u dont mind me asking whats your next step?

I hate to hear about when things happen like that

I went to a "boot leg" CNA school no clincals, two days to practice drawing blood,

one day per week etc. etc. etc. and I was mad so I'm sure with all the time and money you put into this school you are more than ******! thanks for spreading some truth

Up to now I haven't heard from them as far as taking my license. I think they aren't going to penalize the ones who have passed the board already..they just aren't letting anyone else sit for it. I talked with one of my friends(who they went to her job) they haven't done anything yet to hers. I think the school the director was using when we went isnt the same one she's using now.

In the mean time, since my investigation interrogation, I have transfered to 3 other states so I can at least get my RN courses done. I am not wasting any time. Ga has verified my license with no disciplinary or investigation action to the other states, but still I am not gonna wait until they try me to do something. Good thing I had the plan already to go for my RN.

good to hear u had a backup

go for that RN

hi pa3yrs,

I have heard of Advanced Medical.............2 of my coworkers completed the RN program with them in August and have had problems the the BON, they can't sit for the NCLEX...........another person i know completed the LPN program at least 1-2yrs ago. She sat for the board in Virginia and did reciporcity to GA............they wanted to take her license away, but didn't/couldn't since she had taken boards in virgina

ummmm any reputable nursing school wont have ads for used auto parts and vans and cargo holders on their website LOL it really looks like a scam

i wouldnt touch this school with a 10 foot pole! plus the website is all a bunch of ads....im surprised anyone else hasnt said anything about this

I have a friend that also completed this program and is not able to be licensed. She also advised me that the BONs are in the process of revoking the RN licenses issued on the basis of fraudulent education.
