Any Aiken Tech or Augusta Tech Fall 2011 Applicants?

U.S.A. Georgia

My ADN application is officially in at Augusta Tech and I'm also going to apply to Aiken Tech next month, as well as a few other area programs (in radiologic sciences). I figure the more apps I have in, the higher my chance of acceptance to at least one, haha!

So anyone else in the running for one of these programs for Fall 2011?

I don't know if you've already considered it, but you should look into applying to Aiken Tech also. It's not far from Augusta. The deadline is June 1.

I called Augusta Tech admissions today and they said decisions won't go out until June 20 or later :(

I was going to apply to Aiken tech since its in state, but I could never find out any information. I even called the school to find out if there was a waiting list or not and the person I called had no idea. Then I wondered if they were more likely to take students who live in Aiken county versus another county. Good luck to all of you though!

All the info is on the website, including the application. There is no wait. They go by a points system, and aiken county residents get an extra point. But there are 29 other points to go for. You still have almost a week to check it out.

Augusta Tech is driving me nuts ...they can't make up their mind about when decisions will be made. I just called them again and the first person that picked up the phone is telling me that notices won't go out until after this quarters grades have been posted which is after June 15th and another person is telling me that hopefully by the end of next week...aaah!! I think I'm officially giving up on trying to get an answer from them. Oh well. I'm just impatient I guess...little flaw in nature...lol.

Thanks for the suggestion on Aiken Tech but unfortunately I wouldn't make the deadline for their fall admission because of a ridiculous policy they have there. Although I've filled out the application for the college and have been admitted from the previous semester (I applied to Aiken and Augusta Tech at the same time), they are telling me that my transcripts that are already at the college will not be accepted for the nursing application. I have to have a whole set sent again and the schools I have previously attended are all in New York so they won't be available by June 1st. Everything else can be done by the deadline but it won't matter because of the transcripts....totally sucks.

I guess I'll keep waiting and waiting for the decision from Augusta Tech and hope for the best if not I'll be wasting another year just waiting some more and apply for the Spring admission at Aiken Tech. This is particulary stressful for me because I've already lost so much time and money. I had already been through a whole year of nursing school in New York and unfortunately had to relocate so everything was lost. I would have graduated this month and I guess it just upsets me a tad. Can't help it...lol.

Well enough ranting....good luck everyone!! Hopefully we'll know soon enough. :)

I, too, am waiting to hear about acceptance into the ADN program at Augusta Tech... and am just as anxious as you all are. I will definitely post here as soon as I hear something; hope you guys do as well :) I have heard that they will email as well as mail the letter.. hopefully the email goes out at the same time so that we will receive it quicker!

The latest decision information:

Augusta Tech- I spoke with admissions today. They said they are about 60% done with the review of applicants. They are hoping to have letters out in the next week and a half!

Aiken Tech- I turned in my app last week and they said decisions should be made by the week of July 4!

I spoke with Augusta Tech again today. They pushed decisions back again. Now they say in the next week and a half to two weeks (June 21-24ish).

Hi....brand new here. Just looking for some answers! Every time I call Augusta Tech they say "2 weeks". ??? I just called admissions. She told me 2 weeks. Sigh.

I just called too. They said this weekend or early next week. I don't understand how they can be so confused!

I think they may be understaffed and in over their heads....well, I'm glad they're going over everything w/ a fine-toothed comb, though; I wouldn't want to be overlooked, lol!
