I really hope this gets better! I am having such a hard time absorbing the info because it is so boring and poorly written. Some of it is coming back to me from high school, believe it or not (I grad in 1991!), but I think my brain has lost some of its ability to learn after being out of school for 13 years and having three children :chuckle
Oh my gosh...what a coincidence. I am at this very moment procrastinating and ignoring my Psych 101 textbook. It is the worst class ever. Do you have Wood/Wood book too?? Fourth edition??
Seriously I would rather read the dictionary. The book is written like a draft more than a finished piece. I can't stand my instructor's teaching style either, because she splits the class into five groups and then has us come up and explain our part of the chapter to the rest of the class. We aren't graded on it so naturally nobody reads a thing and we just fudge our way through it and go home. That's it - no lecture, no homework, no extra reading, no nothing. (Sorry about the double negative, it was just for emphasis.) I cannot learn this way. In fact she never takes attendance and so I've skipped almost every class except the exams days and just do all the reading at home. Still getting a B in the class with only the final exam left.
Sorry, didn't mean to hijack your post. It was just funny to me that I saw it right now, are you trying to tell me something??:chuckle
Thanks for commiserating with me! The book is Understanding Psychology, Sixth Edition Morris and Maisto.
It's an online course, and the tests are open book, thank God! Absolutely easy A. I have to do research paper on a psychologist due mid June, so that should at least be a little interesting, right? LOL I haven't decided who I'm going to research yet, though, which is fine, since class just began last Monday! Last night I was reading the chapter on Psychobiology which was a little better (I'm all about science and the body LOL), but I fell asleep reading I was so surprised when DH woke me up!
