What are some less competitive schools to get into for those with a low GPA?

I have a low GPA, but in the last 2 years I have done much better. I have a 3.0 for my school but adding it together my past failures at another school its a 2.4 (it will hit over 2.5 after early may. I did well on my Teas and have an 83 . I also have a crap ton of credits so its really isn't gonna budge with just working harder. I didn't care about school and yes I know I am and idiot.

Anywhere in or near NYC, any state bordering Georgia or in the south in general, would be perfect. Max I am willing to shell out is ~25K ish a year for tuition . No I am not lazy, but I am a huge idiot for getting my self in this place messy situation in the first place and the deserve the trashing I know I am gonna get. I am Even willing to move for community college. Hopefully your suggestions deadlines isn't up for the fall. Thoughts, suggestions and any advice in appreciated. Thank You.

You're not an idiot. Everyone makes mistakes & everyone deserves a second chance. I do know a school in buffalo New York that accepts students with a 2.5 and also a school in Maine. The school in NY is called D'youville college and it's a BSN program. However, they are still very competive so make sure your science grades are in the B to A range. That's one of the schools I got accepted too. There are also books that your local library should have that tells you about all the nursing schools in the USA and its gives you the requirements the school are looking for and also deadlines. Good point. Just from reading here, I thought generally the less competitive, the more expensive.

I have never seen in any nursing application a line that states "everyone deserves a second chance". There are minimums TO APPLY. If a school states they will accept a minimum GPA of 2.5 to apply, that by no means ensures acceptance.

Contact schools you want to attend and ask them if you meet the minimum to submit an application.
