Hello everyone,

I'm new to all-nurses and was wondering if there were any spring 2014 hopefuls? I'll be applying to the program in September and struggling to figure out if I want to retake a class I got a B in to help my chances of getting in on the first try. I'm looking at a 3.44 without retaking this class...

I'm in! Now to just get all this stuff done in time! geeze! It isn't a very clear about some things. I am going to call monday but I think we go to concentra for the drug test? I'm hoping I can get into the doctors in time for the physical. Is anyone else feeling like this isn't much time at all?

Do we have to get CPR trained before nov 6 too??

I got a letter that said I was an alternate... They only took 60 students! And 10 alternates so I'm still not sure how this is gonna turn out... Congrats to everyone who got a definite in!!!

some people dont turn in their info on time or choose not enter the program so dont worry my friend was an alternate last year and they called her for the prgram at the last minute :)

Yea me too.

One of my friends goes to WCC and she was looking over my letter with me and brought up a good question...do we have concentra send our 10 panel results to the school or do we turn it in ourselves? She said she was given more information than to just take the test...but she used concentra so I was going to as well. Does anyone know how this process works?? Just go in and have them send the results to the same address we are sending everything else?

Thanks for the words of encouragement! I'm still in shock that they only take 60 instead of 120 like they use to... My letter said I would hear from them by November 5th how close to the start date did your friend hear she was able to take a spot in the program?

They did not give us time at all. Yes have to get cpr by Nov 6th. I don't think you have to go anywhere specific for the drug test

I received my acceptance letter yesterday as well yayyy!!!! Congrats everyone. It is defnintely a limited time to get everything in on time. It's not clear on the CPR training before the 1st in the letter so we will need to call just to make sure but I am goin to squeeze it in just in case.

Hello guys and gals, congrats on getting into one of the best programs In Michigan. I'm entering into my fourth semester, graduating in May! whewww... It sucks they only took 60 students this year however, from my experience here at wcc3 is that all of the alternates usually get a phone call, I know, I was an alternate selected in the fall of 2012. The reason being, they have to have extra students to fill hospital locations in case someone drops out or fails or gets pregnant and return ect.... their is plenty of room for you guys that were selected as alternates. Congrats again to all of you. My advice, rent your books via bookrenter.com and start reading ahead of time, this is a fast-paced program that requires a lot of your time to study, but it's doable. Hi Darien...first of all let me congratulate you on making it through the nursing program! I am waiting now to see if I will be accepted for the spring 2015 semester. How is your employment search going?
