I'm beat! How many times have we all said that when we were students? Its tiring both mentally and physically to juggle all the jobs that students juggle: parent, breadwinner, student. What do you do to cope with the exhaustion associated with being a student nowadays? Please share...

I have my good days and my bad days -- try not to let the bad days derail me and make sure I learned something from each one. I also decided that sleep, while a beautiful necessity, is a gorgeous luxury when you're a nurse. My philosophy is now think of all the crazy stuff you miss out on when you're asleep. That, along with the exercise I do to give me some modicum of cardiovascular protection from lack of sleep, helps me cope. :p

Oh and developing a severe caffeine habit. That one is not a cliche. To all the nursing students who have resisted the caffeine habit: it will come and when it does, you'll be wondering how you ever did without it.

I'm just going 1 day at a time. Starbucks Americano every morning I have work. Americano has more caffeine than regular brew.

I have had to literally count my blessings on my drive to work, I try hard to focus on the great things about working and going to school...

eg my kids health, my health, decent income, a roof over our heads I can afford, nice work clothes, money on the bank, helpful coworkers, friends, a partner who loves me, etc.

But yes I'm dead dog tired most days.

I hired a cleaning lady to come and deep clean my kitchen and organize my closet last week because I was so far behind in my housework.

I try to walk a few days a week after dinner, that relaxes me.
