Tuition payment or reimbursment

Does anybody know of a hospital that will pay tuition in exchange for years of service. I'll move anywhere.

I live in Jackson, TN. The main hospital here pays for tuition. BUT, it's no for sure amount each semester, this semester it was $2,000, last semester $1500, few years ago $2500, just depending on the hospitals budget. Now with that being said, they only select a few people from 3 different colleges here, 1 is a LPN school, 1 is for a BSN, and another for an ADN. The hospitals website is wth.org if you want to look more into it. If you have any questions I'll help as best as I can.

Something else I just realized after I posted, I currently attend a community college for ADN and was awarded $2,000. With the varying prices of tuition at the schools, I don't know if it's the same amount for all the schools or according to the school's tuition prices. My school tuition is generally around $115 per credit hour, maxing at 12 or 13 hours and being a set rate then. (Such as going to school for 18 credit hrs, but you only have to pay for 12 or 13 at the most) I forget what the cut off is, but it's one or the other.

Norton Healthcare in Louisville, KY. It is called the Norton Scholars program. You contract to work for 6 months for every semester paid. You can even get living expense check as well but every semester I have to add in a few hundred dollars of my own. Good program and 5 great hospitals in the city to choose from when you graduate (including an excellent children's hospital). Upon graduation you will be placed in one of their facilities and paid the same as a regular graduating nurse. You also receive the same benefits. Some people have even said they pay for the NCLEX and NCLEX review. Great program and great place ot work. Check them out at the link below.

There's a scholarship program at my school for people who wish to work at WVHC (it's in northeast PA).... Only problem is that you must maintain a 3.0 average throughout the entire program which is very hard to do. I forget how many years they've got your soul trapped at that hospital. That's the thing that scares me so I'm just paying for it on my own.

Pinellas County, Florida thru Baycare. I just got accepted into their program for Spring. Here is the skinny....You need to have all pre-reqs done before you apply to their program with a minimum 2.75 to apply. The interview process consists of 2 interviews. They pretty much just look @ how you are in person rather than paper (GPA and such)..recommendation letters didn't hurt. In return, you get FULL tuition paid for EACH semester, they pay for required text books only, an educational stipend of $175/week of school and a job while you are in school at one of their hospitals as a PCT (PCA). Requires you to sign a contract for 3 years employment after graduation. I think this is a pretty sweet deal! Hope this helps! Good Luck!
