What are your summer plans????? I really need to keep my summer busy because I am a nerd and like school

So on the 17th (my Bday) I am starting my EMT Intermediate class which is exciting, It runs through the first week of August. This is great because it will move me up a notch at work!

Then I will be working my other jobs lol: EMS, post partum doula, and working from home. phew,,

We are going to take some day trips...have an overnight trip planned to Sesame place for my 3 1/2 year old daughter and things like the aquarium etc.

What are your plans?

Specializes in NICU.

Stats, Chem, lab, Film class. Moving. Painting the entire house. I'm going to squeeze in a couple of family camping trips, but I'm not sure when. I'm beginning to think August is going to come too quickly :p.

I'm going to Spain as soon as classes are over! Right now I'm taking 3 classes and working 45 hours a week, I need a nice big, juicy break! I'll have to take pathophysiology online while I'm there though. I'm so excited to start school in August!!! I just found out I got in to my #1 choice a couple days ago. Congrats to everyone who is starting - enjoy your summer!!! :balloons:

Going to garage sales, long walks, pleasure reading

Studying, studying, and then more studying. Did I mention studying?

Which book did you get? I would like to do the same thing.

Hey, my birthday is the 16th!! Happy Birthday!

I'm starting in August as well. I'm taking classes only the first half of summer, since I don't really need anything else anyway. Two of my three children will be at my mother's house for the entire month of July, so my husband, my son and I are taking a short trip to California for our 15th anniversary. After that, the next few weeks will be all about getting my kids and myself ready for school - 1 first grader, 1 third grader, 1 nursing student, 1 master's degree student (hubby). My son is not quite 3 and preschool is just fine with him, thank you.

I got a book called Math for Nurses by Mary Jo Boyer. It says it is a pocket guide to dosage calculation and drug preparation. I found it at my school's bookstore but I've heard you can get it on ebay or possible at your local library to check out. Good luck...and if you wanna form a sort of online study group this summer just email me!:)

Thanks I'm gonna check into the book as well. I also found two books from another thread and bought them on Barnes and Noble.com " How to Survive & Maybe Even Love Nursing School: A Guide for Students by Students

ISBN:0803611579" and " Saunder's Student Nurse Planner: A Guide to Success in Nursing School, Version 3

ISBN:0721698786" I'll let you know how they turn out.

I am taking online anthrolpology - my last pre-req. I want to get a second job to pay off some debt before classes start in Aug, and I will be buying my patho/pharm book early to start preparing for classes. I also plan to review physiology because I hear we will use it a ton in nursing school and I took it last summer, so of course I remember nothing.
