It was a tough semester full of pathos, drama and advanced med surg. I liked working with the kids but I feel like there's still something else out there waiting for me. I never got to rotate in OR and I still have my critical care and mental health rotation in front of me. Bottom line is that third semester is a done deal and I'm happy with my grade. Yippeeeee, doing a happy dance as I prepare for my summer internship on telemetry.

Woohoo, I'm finally a senior!! Congrats to everyone who is moving on.

Congrats! So will you graduate in December?

I wasn't too thrilled with my Peds rotation either. It may have been the facility I was displeased with though. We had a "field trip" to two very large pediatric hospitals (Le Bonheur and St Jude in Memphis, TN) and I think that having clinicals there would have been a much better experience.

I've been able to spend two days in OR and LOVED it! :)

I have a classmate-friend who is doing an externship in telemetry this summer - I keep telling her she's going to ace those EKG exams during acute health this fall!

Where would we be without pathos, drama & advanced med-surg?? :rotfl:

Good job, Kathy -- December will be here before you know it!

Congratulations on doing so well! I have to say that when I read the title of your post I chuckled - we're getting a frost here in West Michigan tonight and it's May 3rd! Good luck next semester!

Michelle, I sent you a PM a few days back. Did you get it? I'll be in Pittsburgh tomorrow.

JEN, I can see where summer is a relative thing. It's sweltering down here and humid as the inside of a steam room. My glasses fog up as soon as I walk out the front door. Wanna trade? I never did get used to these South Florida summers.

Yeppers, I will be graduating in December if all goes as planned. The biggest obstacle is making it through hurricane season without a lot of disruption. We missed betwen two and three weeks of mandated clinical time and class room hours last year. Somehow, we made it up but just by the hair of our chinny-chin chins.
