anyone else suck on those tests lol or is it just me?

I'm studying for mine. I take it on Friday. I heard there is only one A&P question, which makes no sense to me. The study guide doesn't seem to helpful in the science section.

I hate these things! They're supposed to prepare us for the NCLEX, yet somehow I manage to totally flunk these exams, and I manage to pass exams in other NCLEX review materials. I don't think that the ATI tests are really an accurate description of your knowledge level.

It's either that, or all the other NCLEX resources are wrong.

I Luv the ATI test! Nothing makes me feel more like a total idiot than when I get those lovely results. It totally boost my confidence! When I see those scores I don't think I will ever pass boards. It makes me think that I will never make a good nurse becasue I can't remember some of the answers. So ya I feel your pain. At the rate i am going with some of the scores, I may have to review my entire nursing program to pass my boards! So ya I feel your pain...

We get those stupid dvd's along with the books and the dvds are NOT worth the 81.00 we had to pay extra. If we are passing the semester and we pass the proctored exam with a 50% or better, we get 3 extra points added to our final grade. Do other schools do this too?

50%? Our school requires us to make 81%. Doesn't make much sense to me, since it would seem that 50% on the national percentile would mean "average", right? 81% is pretty exceptional on a percentile rank.

They count it as a quiz grade, and since they consider anything under 81% a failing grade, it pretty much hurts everyone.

We just took our maternal/child test today and I thought for sure that I was going to bomb it, but I wound up in the 98th percentile. I think I only scored in the 90th percentile on the med/surg test, though. I seriously doubt that ATI test results are indicative of one's NCLEX score, and I'm a little irritated that I pay extra tuition for those worthless books and DVDs. But perhaps it is worth it; last year 100% of our grads passed the NCLEX on the first try.
