Hi everyone,
Do you have tips or advice to offer about studying, test taking, and learning in general to offer other nursing students?
One thing that helps me the most is to do a quick read of the chapter and mark individual concepts or tables that I need to elaborate on. Then when I have read the whole chapter, I go back and find the items I have marked to read more carefully. Those are also the items I write out in my notes. Another thing I add to my notes is key words. Even if I know the definition I like to find a sentence about it to write down.
The thing that helps most when studying for finals is after I take each test I will go back to the book and mark an F (for final) next to each sentence or idea I remembered from the test. Our finals usually have the exact same question or the same question reworded so this helps a lot for me.
PowerPoints don't seem to help me at all. I don't even look at them after class.
