Spring 2017 Rose State

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hello everyone! I just applied for 2017 Spring traditional program at Rose State. I had 120 points. I was just curious who all applied and how many points everyone had :)

I also applied but for the career ladder track program with 73 points. Fingers crossed!! Also wondering if there are any tips for the challenge exam?

I applied for Career Ladder Spring 2017. I had 81 points. I asked the nursing secretary Gail how many applicants there were this period and she said they collected 145 applications total, both traditional track and career ladder combined. Some girls I spoke to that got in last semester but were unsuccessful in a required course so they got dropped from the program said they got in last semester (Spring 2016) with 75 points. Keeping my fingers crossed!

I used my Hurst Review LPN NCLEX material to study for the Hesi challenge exam. Have you not already successfully completed the challenge exam? I thought you had to have taken the challenge exam and make at least a 850 to complete your application for the program.

I applied with 115 points for traditional. Does anyone know what the point cutoff was last semester for traditional?

I applied with 111 points for traditional. Not very much, but I figured why not. I'll have a lot more points for the next application period. :)

I applied for traditional with 105 points. I know that the odds are next to nothing for me to get in but I will have a lot more points next time and had nothing to lose by trying.

Has anyone heard about the Compass test going away and what will replace it? I'm really curious about how it will affect my February 2017 application.

I applied with 125 points and am hoping for the best. I spoke to a friend and she said she got in last semester with 120. Well we have worked more months to go. The wait is too long tho.

Has anyone heard anything?

The first letters were sent out for those who had very low points and the lady said they are working on the rest of it and by end of month or early November letters.

Hello everyone,

I too applied (3rd time) for beginning track Spring 2017, with 131 points. The mail came today but still no answer. Has ANYONE received a denial or acceptance letter? I'm so ready to know so I can plan for the next step either way.

Good luck to all!

I think the letters will be sent out in a week from now. I called the school and they said either by end of month or early September. The wait is too long. I applied with 125. How many points did you apply with the first 2 times they didn't take you in the program. Am scared I might not meet up the cutoff. Waiting for your response. Thanks
