hi all just thought it would be fun to see how many of us are from ohio and going to school right now...

I'm attending Sinclair, just finishing up some pre-req's. I've applied to a nursing school in PA, a diploma program at UPMC shadyside.

just wanted to say hi, and see who and how everyone is!

I'm going to Sinclair too! :) What are you taking this quarter? Do you have many pre-req's to go?

I'm planning on just finishing the ADN here. I like it & the price is right. :)

i'm taking psy-208, eng-112, and fitness walking. the school i've applied at in PA doesn't require too many pre-reqs so i only took these classes just for the GPA boost. psy-208 IS needed though and it will take one class off of me there.

i leave in 2 wks to take my pre-entrance exam there....:eek: a little freaked out, but i'm sure i'll be fine!

i have classes on saturdays...when do you go?

I attend Belmont Technical College, in St.Clairsville Oh, just down the road from Wheeling.Wv.

It is a two year ADN, and I will start the actual nursing/clinicals in the fall.

This is my third quarter. THis qtr, I am taking med term and eng 102. So far I've completed eng 101, psych 105, dosage calc. and anp 101.

After I finish at Belmont I am transfering to the BSN at Ohio University Eastern, right up the road.

After my first yr at Belmont is finished I am seriously thinking of applying for the externship that Geneisis in Zanesville Hosp offer.

I'm attending Lorain County Community College in Elyria, Ohio and should begin clinicals in the fall. I have one pre-req left which is Micro and should begin that on the 20th. I will also graduate in the spring with my Associate of Arts degree.

I'm taking A&P III and Psy 208 (distance learning - print based). My A&P class is on Tuesday/Thursday evenings.

I'm sure you'll do fine on the entrance test. Have you taken the one for Sinclair? I took it in September & didn't think it was too bad. I scored in the 98 percentile.

I'm attending Clark State Community College in Springfield, Ohio. I am now in my second quarter of first year, going for my ADN. I completed all of my pre-req's while waiting for acceptance into the program. I am glad now that I did! This second quarter is going to be a killer. Second day of lecture this week I finally realized just what this quarter is going to entail and I about freaked! But one way or another, I am going to make it!!!

Glad to see some nursing students on here from Ohio.

I'm from Ohio too. I live in Cincinnati and am currently attending Miami University. I am working on prerequisites right now. I'll be taking A & P II, Chemistry, and Sociology this semester. Unfortunately I won't be attending Miami's nursing program as they don't have an evening program. I'll be going tomorrow to take a pre-entrance exam for a PN program through Scarlet Oaks vocational school. From there I hope to find an evening bridge program to RN in this area. It is nice to hear from fellow Ohioans.:D

Amyliz...hey we both are doing the psy-208 print based! so far i like the book a lot. i need to e-mail her though because i really need her to give me some examples...

i didn't get into A&P this quarter...it was all booked up! DARN!

no i did not take the sinclair entrance exam because they are different test, and i don't want to go to sinclair for their nursing program.

I'm attending Lorain in Elyria, OH this winter. I'm taking API, Dev Psyc, Chem161, and Ethics. Im not sure where Ill be completing my RN.

I am also from Ohio (cincinnati) I attend College of Mount St. Joseph. It is a 4yr. Bsn program. I have to work so I couldn't do an accelerated program. The first year of the program is prereqs and the last three are core nursing classes. This is my second year and I am starting the second semester of my sophmore year tomorrow. I am nervous only because I don't know what to expect. We have been told that this is the most difficult semester in the whole program. The best of luck to all my fellow Ohioans!!!!
