So after stressing:dead: myself out for over a week yesterday I took the RN Comprehensive Predictor 2013. I scored a 68% which calculated to be an 87% probability to pass the NCLEX the first time:nurse:. At my school you have three shots to make at least an 85% pass the first two tries before pinning, in which if you do not pass you do not get pinned and the last time after pinning where they will endorse you for your NCLEX exam if you score 85% or higher. Be prepared to know what patient to see first as in your getting end of shift report and you have 4 patient's with different problem which patient do you need to see first. There were ALOT of those on this test. Brush up on mental health especially schizo, there really were not a lot of medicines on this test, but do know lab values, and digoxen levels urine specific gravity, RBC's, WBC, etc. If you have done review question with ATI you may recognize some of the same question just worded a little differently. I think everyone in my class made at least 85% or higher. Just know the basics remember your ABC's Airway, breathing, Circulation and APIE Assess, Plan, Implement, Evaluate. Also know what you can delegate to APs and LPNs. I hope this help and good luck to those out there taking this test!!! You've Got it!!!!!:yes:

Wow, your school sounds intense. The pinning ceremony should be a celebration of earning your BSN degree. I can see their rationale to really enforce how important the NCLEX is to your future, but I,personally, would feel they took away acknowledging your achievement of actually making it through nursing school. (Whoa, sorry for the run-on sentence). I have my pin propped up next to me in my study area. I look at it (literally) as a reminder and for encouragement; "I made it through nursing school, I will pass the NCLEX-RN!"

Thanks for posting this! I take my predictor in a couple of weeks, so I appreciate the pinpoints of what to review! The delegation to LVPs kills me, because ATI land and LVN scope here in CA are very different. :sniff:

Your college graduation/commencement is the celebration of your BSN your pinning ceremony is the celebration of completing the nursing aspect of your career.

We didn't take a predictor test. That sounds so crazy! Is it because they are worried about their pass rate?

Yes I agree, they had a pretty low pass rate two years back and have since cracked down in these ATI, which myself and my classmate disagree with because some things contraindicated each other from ATI AND NCLEX. We only have 21 students in my class and the rumor is only 10 passed I know of 5 that have told me they didn't passed but only missed it by a 1-3%. The director of the program is listening to the complaints but is standing firm in this decision. I feel awful for my classmates that at stressing about taking it a second time but I feel worked themselves into a frenzy before the test and that I feel played a big role in them not passing. I'm thankful that I passed on the first try and hope all my classmates are able to pin on the 9th of May. *fingers crossed*

I believe so especially since the State Board recently changed. I believe two yrs ago they had a very low pass rate on state board exams and were being looked at closely by the accreditation council, so we get the repercussion of that classes failure I guess.

Wow, I am taking mine on the 5th of this month and I have to score a 72.9% which is a 95% chance of passing NCLEX before pinning.. I need all the notes I can get :)
