Hello, allnurses.com!!!!

I just wanted to post a thread to express my joy on starting nursing school this August at Charity School of Nursing in the great Big Easy--New Orleans! :balloons: :D:nuke::typing:smiley_aa;):lol2:

My dream for many years was to gain experience and training at Charity Hospital, but we all know that Katrina washed away many great memories in this city--including this well-known hospital. But everything has its purpose, and it's working well for me so far. I have no doubts at all that the following two years will be challenging and exhausting, but those two adjectives and any other negativity won't bring me down or make me change my mind. I'm more than sure that nursing is for me, and I am greatly anticipating to receive my pin and license after graduation. I'm so happy to have been told about this website, and I'm looking forward to much encouragement, advice, and comic relief from all of you.

Congrats to all new nursing students and, of course, NEW NURSES!!!

Hey everyone...I start ns in the fall also:yeah:and I can hardly wait! I'm so excited and it's so weird. I am an older student who never done real well in high school, but now I can hardly wait for each new semester to start. I'm close to carrying a pocket procter and tapping my glasses together.:lol2:

I start nursing school on August 20th at Marshall University. I am excited and nervous at the same time. I have already purchased all my books and a PDA. I am taking off 1 week from work before school starts to just relax and get much needed rest. I want to be all rested up when school starts up. Because we all know that after school starts all we will be doing is studying day and night!!!:studyowl:
