Professor who is too easy??

I know some are going to think I'm crazy, but my Psychology professor is pretty easy, so much so that you barely have to read the material because she gives you a lot of the answers for the quizzes. She'll actually print the quiz off and go over them with us before the quiz is due. I'm just worried bc I'm not really learning anything because she's not making us. She also teaches Human Growth & Development. Do I need to be looking for a different professor where I'm actually going to learn what's going on? These are co-req's for 2 of the programs I applied for so I'm just wondering if the information is really that important to where I'll need it for nursing school. It might sound like a silly question but I know you cover a lot in nursing school and wondered if we'll go over all this again anyway. Thanks for reading:)

No you wouldn't because you need a credit that says you passed the class. You're going to be teaching yourself massive amounts of materiel in nursing school, so I suggest you get over that counterproductive mentality ASAP.[/quote']

I understand that, but it's not nursing school, it's general psychology. Excuse me for wanting a teacher who actually taught me something and not just give me the answers. And if you call counterproductive working full time, going to school part time, raising 2 young children AND maintaining a 4.0 including biology, chemistry, algebra and sociology then you are sadly mistaken and don't know anything about me.

Stephalump is right. She wasnt trying to make you defend your life but sometimes a little straight talk is all thats needed. And here blaming the teacher is not productive. Period. The class is easy and straight forward, not a lot of complicated material. If the prof chooses to teach exams than get behind it. If you dont like the prof find a new one next time you have to potentially take a course with that one.

As far as nursing school goes, you will br integrating a low of erikson, maslows hierarchy of needs and kublar ross grief processes for at least the first few semesters so make sure you know those well. Mmm sometimes Piaget. ... but not much.

You're more than welcome to want whatever you want.

However, your post said nothing about her not teaching you anything. You said she's giving you answers to quizzes so YOU aren't feeling motivated to do any work. That isn't her fault. It's your issue to work out.

Even if she truly isn't teaching you and plays Candy Crush during your class, it's still salvageable if you do your work. As other people have said, this isn't chemistry or nursing. It's reading and some memorization. You seem to have a handle on reading and wiring and comprehension, so I'm sure you can walk away with what you need to know, even without a professor looming over you with heavy testing. If you want to.

You could drop and take another professor, but it just seems like a waste of time and money to me.

I don't really know what all the rest of your post is about. At no point did I say a word about you or your life, and really, if you're THAT busy, I'd be more inclined to take the easy A and move on with life.

I will definitely make sure to study over Erikson's and Pigget, or however you spell it:) I just don't think this professor is for me. Thank you for your responses!
