Wow. I start school in two days and I just found out I am 5 weeks pregnant with my second child. I was so afraid something like this would happen:o Has anyone else gone through this/going through this? How bad is it? Is it doable? Any tips? I'm totally freaking out.... Is it even possible to survive?

HELP!

I went through this...I was pregnant and delivered while in school....I had a fairly easy pregnancy and a lady partsl delivery which inabled me to be back in clinicals 4 days later...so I was lucky. If you had a very compilcated pregnancy or a C-section it would depend on how your school handles absences and such!! We have had 4 babies delivered in my class and everyone has made it!! GL!!!

The pregnancy part is not the hard part. It is caring for the baby that makes your life tough. You will need EXCELLENT support from family and friends and will need to keep a good schedule so no one gets burned out. Babies are worth it though.

If you search the topic you will find a version of your post happens quite regularly as a matter of fact. This is your second baby. You HAVE SKILLS now! The second one will be a piece of cake after the first one. So relax, roll with it, and enjoy a wonderful time in your life.

I'm probably not the best example but I found out I was pregnant last summer with my first child and took the fall semester off because a) I was sooooooo sick and b) being that I've never done this before I was scared as to how I would feel being in school. I didn't want to risk hurting my GPA since I haven't yet applied to the program. In hindsight I kinda regret not taking the classes but I know I can always take them in the future. Now I'm taking this semester off as well because I'm due in late March....I hope to start again over the summer. I say if you can do it, more power to you. The way I saw it, the classes would still be there when I was ready...

That is good that you were able to take some time off...I was on a long waiting list and if you take time off you go to the end of the list...another 2-3 year wait!!! Congrats on your baby!!
