What kinds of learning objectives did you think were/are important during your last semester preceptorship? I realize that each different type of nursing unit will have different types of learning objectives, and am interested in what you all consider important for you.

I have to come up with objectives for my internship that I start in a week. I was planning on just focusing on what my weaknesses are and improving them. For example, while I know a lot about invasive lines and hemodynamics, I haven't exactly done a lot with them. I will probably write an objective around that.
Perhaps some folks who have already finished their preceptorship/internship can provide you with some more info.
Good luck!

Those are both great ideas - thanks Twarlik and MedicRNOhio. Any more ideas out there? I have to come up with at least 10, but there's so much (almost too much) that I could focus on!
