I bought my school pin but I am thinking about buying a 2nd pin that I won't mind losing so much. There are different pins out there that I like a lot better too.

Did you buy your school pin? Did you use a different pin? Did you inherit a pin?

Bought the school pin, but haven't worn it in years, the clasp is loose. I don't actually see many people wearing their pins; and the generic ones don't mean much to me personally.

It is a symbol of a rite of passage, entrance into the "guild" as it were. Not as significant as it once was, but I like rituals and symbols.

I am excited for it. I did buy the school pin but I won't wear it because I'll lose it. I think I like the other ones because I can display them too. I also wore a hat for the nursing pictures even though we are no longer issued hats. We had a community hat we passed around and pinned in with 3 paper clips and 2 bobby pins.

My school had them on sale for 50 bucks, needless to say I passed on that. Most of the people got the pin though.

We also HAD to have some sort of pin for the ceremony, whether it was a generic pin or something special (The ceremony was a grad requirement otherwise I wouldn't have gone).

Nope no caps at my school thank God.

We had pins that were 32 and 108. We can use any pins that we want at the ceremony. I bought a school pin as something to have. It's kind of like a class ring. I won't wear as I'll lose it on the 2nd day. It's one of those things that I can put on the shelf and display it or something.

I wouldn't want to wear the cap ever, but I think it would be cute to have.
