Officially a "nursing" student..?!

Nursing Students General Students

I received my acceptance letter today!! I totally had a panic attack and dropped everything. I'm thankful my iPhone was in an otterbox! I am still in shock and it feels surreal. My husband is beyond excited and proud of me.

So, does this officially make me a "nursing" student?! Congrats to everyone!

Congrats on your acceptance. I was recently accepted a couple months ago, and like you am a "planner." I was doing all kinds of stuff to prepare. Then I went to orientation... And found out that I was wrong about a few things. So I'd say if your school has an orientation session, wait for that. I know. I know it's hard. We got a full book list that was updated with the changes for the coming year, all the info about lab tests/vaccinations, etc., and background check forms - a whole folder full of stuff to work on. Good luck!

Congratulations! I was just accepted for this fall as well. I feel a little better that I'm not the only one that gets shy and is a planner! It's killing me waiting for orientation. With our program, you have to submit your TB skin test results, vaccinations, CPR for Health Care Providers certification, back ground check and drug screening BEFORE orientation. All of these things are due no later than August 1 and our orientation isn't until August 9th and class starts on August 20. I'm getting so nervous and excitied!! I am taking summer courses for a seperate degree, and from what I hear at my school, most people take the summer off. So I'm just hoping that I'll have enough energy and brain power left to get through the first year because I've already agreed I will NEED to take next summer off! Working full time, mom of 3, and nursing school after no break from work or school for 3 years? I'll need it! Haha.

Congratulations again! And I look forward to reading and posting about our experiences as we begin an awesome adventure towards our goals of becoming nurses.
