Not enough tickets

So I'm graduating and while I'm looking forward to being done, I am no longer looking forward to my graduation ceremony. It's not the fact that I have to pay for my cap and gown instead of renting them. But the fact that my family will not be allowed in without tickets and we only get 4 in total. So after 4 years I have to choose who is allowed to see me graduate at all. It's not even enough to include my immediate family and my immediate family isn't large, just larger than 4. Basically only my parents would be able to come. I could write the administration, but its nothing they have not heard before. Apparently this has been a problem for years, but you only find out about it when you are about to graduate yourself. Thoughts, Ideas?

Don't forget that it is YOUR accomplishment and YOUR day. If you want to walk in graduation do so and if not do something fun with family to celebrate your hard work. I'm not going to school in the same state my family lives in so I will probably only invite my parents and my husband and then give someone else my extra tickets. Maybe others in your class will be similar.

Happens at the majority. My graduation only had 2 tickets - one college but 5 diplomas graduating together. I agree with the poster that said to have a dinner with everyone afterwards.

This is how my school does our pinning. Cap and gown graduation is for the entire college in general, at the end of spring and fall semesters only, and half the nursing students graduate after summer. So we do a pinning separately. We get 4 tickets, and can get more the week before pinning on a first come first served basis. There is an overflow room to watch it live streaming, though.
