Has anyone got into the RN program recently at any one of these colleges? This is the second year I applied and still didnt get in I have all my prereq's finished (34 credits) (gpa 3.29)and I am very discouraged. I know they rank you on a point system. Does anyone know what the cut-off points have been for the past year or 2? Sadly, I think I may have to change my major...

Why not try San Jacinto Community College? If you hurry you can apply now for the Fall 2004 semester. Cut-off date is May 1, 2004.

Hi,
I am attending the nursing information session tonight at Tomball. I am going to ask them what the cut-off was for the point total.
How many points do you have out of 12?
Suzanne
I went to the Nursing Information Session and I was told that out of the 12 point system, Tomball and North Harris usually have the cut-off's around the high 10's. Montgomery told me they were about 10.65 as of right now, but it always changes with each semester.

This is all very scary to me. I am applying for fall 05 in the spring and I am very nervous. As long as I make an A in Anatomy I will have 8 points. Then it all depends on how I do on the entrance exam. I know I don't generally do well on those.
Please, please, please keep me posted on everything.
Kriss: how many points did you have total ?????????????
If you have 8 points so far you should be just fine. The HESI test only covers reading comprehension and math. I was told that there is a book you can look at to get a feel for the test in the Tomball College library. I've heard the test is pretty basic though, so I wish you well.
Thanks ! Let's keep in touch over this ! :)

How does the point system work? Can anyone point me to a reference? I start pre-reqs @ North Harris in the fall...
