Low score on ATI predictor

I AM SO NERVOUS FOR NCLEX! I just received my ATT yesterday and am scheduled to take the exam August 8th. My school requires us to take the ATI predictor and I ended up getting a 65% chance of passing..which according to ATI is an 80% chance of passing on the first try. I thought this wasn't so bad until everyone in my class said they all had a 90% chance of passing or higher! I always had good grades throughout nursing school so I'm becoming discouraged. What can I do to make sure I pass NCLEX on the FIRST try!?

Buy the 30 day access to Uworld. The layout, look and feel is very similar to NCLEX - you can do a 30 question demo on their website for free and also use the phone app to answer questions while you are on the go and don't have access to a desktop. UWORLDs rationales are superior to ATI in my opinion. Each time you get an answer wrong review their rationale (which is like a mini content review).

Good luck!

I honestly don't put much stock into the predictors. I took one from NCSBN and didn't do so hot myself, but after taking the NCLEX I see that the questions weren't similar at all. Remember that it's just a computer program using the data it has to come up with a number. It can't ACTUALLY predict how you'll do.

That being said, if it gives you content areas to look over make sure you do that, and I agree with the other comment about UWorld for studying.

I'll chime in 3rd for Uworld. Also - ATI was mapped to the 2013 NCLEX when we just finished it at our school (in June) and so there are some inconsistencies. Be careful of those.
