Jury Duty?

I had just received the summons for the Grand J Service, on Sept 11, and have written a letter to the County Clerk saying that I am a nursing student and will not be able to attend. Will that be OK? I don't want to miss my classes or study time.

Do nursing students get excused from serving? And nurses?

If I remember correctly, students in general are exempt from serving jury duty. You might have to show them proof of enrollment, though.

ADN, Thank you for your reply. I will attach a copy of my class registration / advisement sheet which shows the classes I will be taking and how many more semesters I need to be attending school.
