I am a nursing student, starting clinicals in January. I have a couple interviews for Patient Care Tech positions next week. I have been at the same place forever so I am really nervouse about interviewing, especially for an are where I have no experience except school. Any tips for me?

Dress professionally-You can never underestimate the power of a good suit in an interview. Take your time when answering questions and spin every negative situation into a positive.

If they ask you if you have any questions, make sure you have thoroughly thought of questions that are meaningful. "Can you tell me about the team dynamics of the group I will be working with?" "What do you see as critical issues within your team?" "What are your measures of success in this position?" Stay away from questions about benefits, vacation, and time off.

GOOD LUCK!!!

Hey just for some encouragement!

Last year when I started to apply at LTC's, I had so many offers, and I had to narrow is down from 2 employers. And I had NO experience, but just the fact that you are in nursing school is a plus. :)

So hang in there! The right job will open up- and take it one day at a time when you are going through orientation, cause those few days are the worst. Getting the hang of everything. ;)

Take care and wish the best for you!
