I am still in 4 classes this summer, but after orientation last week I just can't wait to start NS. My new school scrubs are washed and ready. I got my Danskos in the mail and have been wearing them to get used to them. The most exciting part is that I got my clinical assignment and I got exactly what I wanted for my first semester. I will be at the hospital that I eventually want to work at and in oncology, which is the dept. I want to work in! Now, I just need to order my stethoscope. Still trying to decide between the Master Classic or the Classic II SE.

Yea it defeintly is getting closer...I guess I'm more relaxed now because I know once I'm in nursing, I won't remember what relax even mean let alone what it feels like lol. However I am for sure excited about nursing school and steady getting everything in place for late august. Congrats on your placement, I just hope I get something close by to wear I live because I'm probably gonnabe selling my car and I don't wanna be up the creek if I don't get another one right away. But congrats to everyone who is starting this fall and if we all make it to the end of semester without going completely insane lol jk we should defeintly recap on our first semester experience...good luck everyone!

I don't get to buy anything or know anything until august 2nd! Including doing my immunizations and CPR. I guess maybe it's a good thing since I'm swamped with the four classes I have right now. My orientation is one day after my last final. I'm really excited!!

Wow...well all I have to say about that is make sure you save up because nursing supplies and getting ready for nursing is not cheap! Unless everything is included in your tution which in my case is wasn't but hey at least I'm blessed enough to have a job to pay for all the extra stuff and I think buying stuff gets a little easier after the first semester because I think these first semester book follow you through nursing school and u may just need a book or two here in the other semester....at least I think and hope that's how my school do it...but anyway we only got a few more week to go :D omg!

Luckily I already have a steth but I will need a few other things. My physical with be around $20. And I know some kind of oshaa (idk if that's right or not) training program is provided upon enrollment. We have to do the CPR and stuff. I need to enroll my kids in daycare (this will be the worse and hardest!!) and I need to see about my loans and FA. I'm nervous!! Good luck everyone!!

I wish I had ur list...I have to buy book, cpr, , phone apps, health insurance (good thing I already have tht through my job), kaplan test prep, physical exan, student backround check, drug test, uniform, nurse kit, stethoscope, and other stuff that I wanted to get just because like notebooks, binder, note cards, pens, post its...so yea ima have a busy rest of the summer lol

Our orientation is August 4th but we have to have all immunizations, physical, and CPR certification done by July 31st. I'm so nervous!!!!!

Yea most my stuff have to be done or bought by august 1st and I have everything except a few books, cpr, physical exam (doing that next week) and kaplan test prep so I should be ready before august 1st

I'm really excited and nervous too. I've already completed my physical, background check, drug screen and CPR. Now I just have to wait until orientation on July 11th. :)

I know!! It's driving me nuts! We start august 15th. Orientation is the 2nd.
